The following provides you with the new licensing guildlines for the State of Washington. Effective July 1, 2010 RCW 18.85.011 became law and the new license requirements are provided below:

1. Persons seeking to receive their broker's license:
   1. 60 clock hour Real Estate Fundamentals
   2. 30 clock hour Practices
   3. Total of 90 clock hours ( IE: Pre-License Value Package A & B )

2. Persons currenlty licensed as a broker, renewing for the 1st time after July 1, 2010:
   1. Practices 30 clock hours
   2. CORE 3 clock hours
   3. 27 clock hours of an elective course
   4. Transition course 3 clock hours
   5. Total of 63 - 66 clock hours ( IE: 1st Renewal Package A,B, or C)

3. Persons currently licensed as a Broker or Managing Broker looking to renew their license and recieve continuing education credit:
   1. CORE 3 clock hours
   2. 27 hours of an elective course
   3. Transition Course 3 clock hours
   4. Total of 33 - 36 clock hours ( IE: CE Renewal Package A-F )

4. Persons who are licensed after July 1, 2010 and wish to renew for the 1st time:
   1. Advanced Practices 30 clock hours
   2. Real Estate Law 30 clock hours
   3. 27 hours of an elective course
   4. CORE 3 clock hours
   5. Total of 90 clock hours ( this package not offered until April 15, 2011 )

5. Person seeking to take the Managing Broker license exam after July 1, 2011 must have held a Broker license for 3 years:
   1. Advanced Law 30 clock hours
   2. Business Management 30 clock hours
   3. Brokerage Management 30 clock hours
   4. Total of 90 clock hours ( IE: Managing Broker Package C )
